On Friday afternoon Adam Steen, Nathan, his wife Heather and myself are planning to head out to Denver for the National Western Stock Show and the Denver Markets produced by WESA.
From the sounds of it the weather could be a real pain trying to fight our way out and back. However, we're goin' and that's all there is too it. We've rented a four-wheel drive SUV and are bound and determined to find our way....even if we have to rent snowmobiles (let's hope not~).
Tonight the PBR is in Denver and I sure wish we could have made it for that, however we'll catch the PRCA events and will be sure to fill you in and provide some picture. (Congrats to Curt Check for winning a round).
The main reason we go is to meet with our suppliers like Saddle Barn, Phoenix Performance Products, Beagley Braiding Company, Weaver Leathers and hundreds of other top industry manufacturers. It really is the who's ~ who for anything in the English and Western Lifesytle Industry.
We are hoping to make new connections with the latest product makers and find out where everyone see's the Industry going.
It should be a fun week. I know I'm really looking forward to it. If you happen to be planning to attend, be sure to look us up!!! Shouldn't be to hard...couple Iowa guys wandering around.
Tracy,
Proud to report we have made it safe to Denver. Currently sitting in a pretty nice LaQuinta Inn just getting ready to head out for day two at the Denver Market.
Nothing too strange to report, other than I think Adam will be coming back with a new pair of gator hide boots and a cowboy hat. I think he is still in a state of shock at the scope of the markets.
Guess we'll find out what impact we've had on him if the next meeting in Des Moines he's been fully converted....complete with a big ol' belt buckle. Guarantee it would start some conversations!!!

Good luck Heather, this could be quite a trip with these three... I’d imagine Adam’s cowboy alter ego will kick in shortly after he gets around all of this rodeo gear so beware. :)
Hope you all have a fun and safe trip! Look out Denver, here they come!!
