On my normal jog through the blogospere this morning I visited Timothy Johnson over at Carpe Factum to check in. Can't exactly tell you why I decided to go visit Steve Farber at Extreme Leadership, however I clicked out of Carpe Factum and stumbled into a real treasure if you ask me.
Steve has a post called "Start Your Day With a Double Shot". Not what I was expecting...considering my mind was still very focused on injecting more caffeine... I liked the sound of a "Double Shot". Pleasantly to my surprise it involved a daily challenge that I opted to take.
The challenge: For two weeks start each day going directly to Karmatube.org and then go over and light a candle at Gratefulness.org.
I've got to be honest, I've yet to make it over to Gratefulness.org as I've been spinning since I watched the video about "The Strongest Dad in the World".
I remember the first time I heard this song (I Can Only Imagine)...not sure that is the correct title, however I was fortunate enough to be able to attend several PBR Events behind the scenes. I remember it was in Grand Rapids, Michigan when Justin McBride was hurt right before the run up to the World Finals...bad deal.
Anywho~
I met Todd Pierce with the PBRO - Professional Bull Riding Outreach. Todd is the Minister for the PBR and he invited me to attend the church service the next morning. (Todd was who turned me on to the book "Purpose Driven Life"...also a life changing event.
WOW!!!
I am so glad I attended. To this day I remember Reuben Geleynse singing this song and the chills it gave me to visualize what these guys must go through day in and day out. Each has an amazing relationship with God.
Each of us have our own "Mountains to Climb". I have so much respect for Dick Hoyt and his son for what they have accomplished together.
Trust me....you "CAN " do anything you choose to do! Go check this out over at Karmatube.org for more.
Special Thanks to Steve Farber for turning me on to this....it will be part of my day! I can only imagine...
Spur It' Up!
