The Professional Bull Riders Chihuahua Challenge Opens Doors for Mexican Bull Riders
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 30, 2007) - For the second consecutive year, the U.S.’s elite Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler will stop in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. The top 45 bull riders in the world will compete against the fiercest bucking bulls in the business today at the Manuel Bernardo Aguirre Gymnasium on August 24 and 25, 2007. As an added bonus, the top 5 athletes from the PBR’s Mexico tour, the Ford Cup Series presented by Wrangler, will have the opportunity to ride alongside the world’s best as they will be added to the Chihuahua Challenge roster of competitors. This gives the rising stars on the PBR Mexico circuit a chance to win big money and accumulate more of the qualifier dollars needed to reach the prestigious 2007 Built Ford Tough World Finals presented by Wrangler which takes place in Las Vegas, Nev. October 26–28 and November 1-4.
The PBR Mexico office opened in 2006 in hopes of cultivating and encouraging the Mexican bull riding stars of tomorrow. In its second year the PBR Mexico Ford Cup Series presented by Wrangler has added 8 stops to the tour and 65,000 pesos in added prize money for each event. The money earned on the Ford Cup Series also will count toward qualification to the elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler and ultimately the PBR World Finals.
