A memorial barrel race will be held Sept. 1, 2007 at the CTYRA arena. All proceeds will go to the Tawny Martin Memorial Foundation. This is a 501C3 organization and donations are tax deductible.
Tawny Martin was killed by an under aged drunk driver January 29, 2006. The foundation was set up to honor Tawny's memory and to raise funds for youth projects. The foundation's mission is "Sponsoring projects in support of the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of today's youth." With
your help we will continue to support youth-centric projects like:
All God's Creatures-awarding grants to youth projects which foster a sense of stewardship of all God's creatures. Alochol and Drug Awareness-sponsoring projects which educate youth to the dangers of misuse of alcohol and drugs.
Youth Activity Center-opening a center for kids to hang out, before and after school, to find the ctivities they crave to keep them occupied, out of trouble and reaching for the stars.
Tawny loved horse and riding in general. But she really loved barrel racing, so we are having this race in her honor. We hope that you can attend to run or just hang out with us for a day of barrel racing and fun! We are having a stick horse race for the younger kids, the barrel race for the older ones and
silent/live auctions for the rest of us!
Please consider donating either funds or items for the silent/live auction to this very worthy cause. If you have any questions, please call NINA 254-534-1694, Margie 254-258-4742 or Roy Martin 254-717-7861. Our wesite is: www.tawnymartin.org, click on the barrel race link to find the flyer, entry
and sponsorship forms.
Thank you for your time and consideration, TMMF
