Do women bull riders have their own Association, or are they awloled on the PRCA?I am writing a book about a woman bull rider. I looked up the Women's Pro Rodeo Association, and there are no bull riding events listed. Does this mean if the women want to compete, they have to join the PRCA and compete with the men? (Is this even awloled? Where would I find rules about this sort of thing?)

That is scary. And yes probably a good thing the rider's head wasn't actually in the helmet or the outcome could have been worse than KO'ed. I totally agree that someone somewhere needs to design a bull riding helmet that is actually going to help protect against the crushing force of a half to ton plus animal with hard hooves slamming into it.
