SEBRA director Tom Smith and Carousel Farms owner Jeff Mullen met with Pat Carhart the National Sales Director for W-W Livestock Systems in Thomas, Oklahoma last week. The meeting kicked off a W-W / SEBRA partnership. W-W Livestock Systems has joined SEBRA as the “Official Equipment Sponsor”. Pat indicated that W-W has been impressed with SEBRA since it’s “Business Side of Rodeo” seminar last year and has watched the association grow in size and industry respect. Jeff Mullen was on hand as a SEBRA producer to help select the arena equipment to be used at the SEBRA Championship Finals XIII. Mullen has been a long time W-W supporter stressing the importance of safety for the livestock and for the cowboy. “We use W-W products exclusively at Carousel Farms.” Tom Smith was extremely pleased with the out come of the meeting. “W-W has such a deep history in professional rodeo. W-W pioneered in the design of the modern bucking chute and continues to be a leader in new modifications and improvements.” Smith added “The use of W-W products at the SEBRA Championship Finals is going to really improve the quality of the event. It is going to add value for our other sponsors as well by providing a quality frame work for event signage.”

SEBRA and US Rodeo Supply Company will announce a partnership next week. The partnership will benefit all SEBRA members by providing generous discounts on equipment purchases. US Rodeo Supply has agreed to assist the association by providing awards for the SEBRA Championship Finals, and through shared advertising. Keep a look out in the coming weeks for a US Rodeo Supply Catalog to be mailed to all SEBRA members.

SEBRA announces a new Team Competition for the remaining 2007 season.

The competition is open to Stock Contractors, Event Producers, and Sponsors, it is designed to provide a little friendly competition between event management and to provide exposure for the different companies as the cowboys travel across the nation attending various events. It gives the cowboys a chance to win another Custom Bob Berg Buckle and will give them futher individual exposure, which is a key to attracting sponsors. Each Team Cowboy will receive a SEBRA Team Competition Shirt with the Team Sponsors Name / Logo on the Sleeve. Each Team Sponsor will put up an entry fee of $1,000 and will recruit five bull riders and two alternates to represent their company for the remaining season. The cowboys will compete in events as usual with the money won counting toward their teams points. The top six teams will compete at the PBBA Finals in January, and will be featured in advertisments. The winning five team members will recieve a Bob Berg SEBRA Team Champion buckle. The Team Sponsor will also win a buckle and the payoff as show below.

The deadline for entry is August 30th, with points counting on September 1st. Entry forms are being mailed to producers, contractors this week.
